A bit cooler weather finally today.

I cooked some comfort food for ourselves.
“- Sweet sesame miso eggplant
- Yakionigiri (Grilled Onigiri)
- Just spy sauce
- Sansho pepper miso
- Sesame Tofu”
It was a vegetarian dinner, using lots of my misoes.
It was quite light and easy on the stomach.

Summery favourite

I like drinking thick plum syrup mixed with sparkling water. It is a refreshing drink that tastes like plum wine without the alcohol. Of course, it’s also delicious with gin, shochu and many more.

Enjoying cold noodles with summer vegetables on a warm day.

Lately, we’ve been enjoying
“Make your own rice paper roll party” at home.
We often do this, especially on warm days.
I try to avoid using heat as much as possible, so our meals typically consist of what’s in the fridge—leftover vegetables and similar items.

The dish is quite filling after a few, mainly made with vegetables, herbs, vermicelli, and a bit of protein.

It can get a bit messy, especially if you add too much filling, making it hard to roll. Also, it isn't as easy to roll rice paper as you thought.
However, it’s a fun activity.

Lastly, our recommendation for the dipping sauce is our Korean BBQ sauce, which is excellent for it, as well as hoisin sauce.
